Making Our tradeMARK!

BRANDS are like PEOPLE. They have to build their own definite identity. A brand's Logo Symbol has much to say, a meaning deeper than what's obvious.

Did you know that  'Apple's symbol is derived from the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible. The bitten apple represents the fruit from the “Tree of Knowledge”.
There's always an intelligent story behind a creative idea. It's that spark of an idea that breathes life and meaning into an apparently innate patch of colours and shapes that we call the logo/symbol of a company/brand, which is in fact it's sole identity. Like an individual's name the logo/symbol is the primary element that enables one brand/company/product/service to stand out from the rest.

However innovative the idea maybe, thinking out -of- the- box has a culmination in its execution. And when an idea is executed, a thorough knowledge of the principles of design is an essential. Following the 'Principle of Simplicity' most often hits the nail. Trying too hard or trying to say too many thing at the same time, may render the design indecipherable  It's the execution that defines the success of an idea.

Had it been a whole 'Apple' would it have had a similar high impact as the bitten apple? It's the simplicity that  has powerfully made an impression on all our minds. The bitten apple from the tree of knowledge is quite a creative and appropriate representation of the intelligent products the brand has brought to us. APPLE has thus established its brand identity.

A logo/symbol is designed to identify a company/brand. A logo/symbol is not expected to be self explanatory. It does not enumerate about the company it represents. It functions as the brand's point of reference or is in fact the symbol of representation. It is thus important what the logo MEANS, more than what or how it looks.

This being our very first post it is imperative that we share our journey of how we arrived at our own Logo/Symbol.
The name 'Ogaan' is of Sanskrit origin and it means 'united'. Our Creative Mantra is 'Creating waves of extreme creativity'. When our creative heads 'Unite', we are no longer creating small waves. It's a large WHIRLPOOL of creativity.
Yes, RED!
It's the colour of energy, it's the colour of passion, power, determination.
And that's what the logo/Symbol of Studio Ogaan stands for.

A united team of creative heads, like live wires, when put together the result is one supersonic boom of unconventional IDEAs.....
